To clean the fabric splint of the Rolyan Gel Shell Thumb Spica Splint, begin by removing the stay and Gel Shell pad and fasten the straps. Using warm water and mild soap, hand-wash the fabric. Rinse completely. Do not wring the fabric - thoroughly air dry at room temperature before re-applying. To clean the Gel Shell pad, hand-wash in warm water and mild soap (hot water may yellow the pad). Rinse completely. Press gently to remove excess water and allow to air dry entirely before re-applying. The splint will lose its shape in temperatures over 135°. Keep it away from heat sources such as open flames, sunny windows, ovens, and hot water.
