While using the American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter, please consider the following: Grounding continuity should be check periodically. A qualified technician must only make electrical repairs. The power supply cord should be kept away from the cutting area at all times. When disconnecting the Cast Cutter from an outlet, pull on the plug. Never disconnect by pulling on the cord. To assure proper grounding, plug the unit in the receptacle marked "Hospital Grade ". Do not operate in areas where flammable or explosive vapors may be present. Do not autoclave or immerse in any liquid. Disconnect power the cord before changing the blade.
Is it necessary to lubricate the bearings on the American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter?
It is not necessary to lubricate the bearings on the American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter. The bearings are lubricated for life. The Blade life can be extended by periodically repositioning the blade on the drive head.
Does the American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter include blades?
The American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter includes one 2.5" diameter multi-purpose blade. Additional blades can be purchased separately.
Can the American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter be cleaned?
The American Orthopaedic Cast Cutter should be unplugged before cleaning. Wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth.
