What battery is required for the Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor?
The Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor requires a 9-volt battery. LED should flash when the user is seated. If the LED fails to flash, check the battery. Pressing the Battery Test button, the alarm will sound. If the alarm does not sound, check the battery
Can the wheelchair be washed with the Under Seat Sensor from Skil-Care?
Be sure to remove the Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor when washing the wheelchair. After washing the wheelchair, and the sensor is reattached, test the system.
Is there a volume control on the Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor?
You can choose a High or Low volume alarm using the switch on the right side of the alarm unit on the Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor.
Is there an on/off switch on the Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor?
There is no on/off switch on the Skil-Care Under Seat Sensor. When the alarm has been activated and the user has not returned to the wheelchair, the alarm can be silenced by pressing the auto-reset button, putting the unit on standby mode and ready for use. The Alarm will automatically reset when the user returns to the wheelchair.
